Over a period of five days, from Wednesday 24th 13:05 until Monday 29th 13:45, PROBA2 made off-point observations (not Sun centered) to allow the SWAP imager to observe a large on-disk filament. The filament evolved towards the West limb and it was estimated to reach the limb on Friday/Saturday.
The campaign was succesful in observing an eruption off of the South West limb. The filament underwent a partial eruption on Friday 26th around 18:30. SWAP was able to follow the eruption close to the South West edge of its field of view. The eruption generated a CME which was recorded by CACTus (http://sidc.oma.be/cactus/catalog/LASCO/2_5_0/qkl/2013/07/CME0070/CME.html), a software package for 'Computer Aided CME Tracking' developed by the Royal Observatory.
