PROBA2 in the spotlight at the Space Pole Open Days

On September 24. and 25, 2022 the Space Pole in Brussels organized its Open Days. The three scientific institutes on the site - the Royal Observatory of Belgium, the Royal Meteorological Institute and the Royal Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy - opened their doors to the general public. The solar physics department (SIDC) highlighted their involvement in solar missions such as Solar Orbiter, PROBA3 an, of course, PROBA2.

The Centre Spatial de Liège supported the open days with models of the ASPIICS, EUI and SWAP instruments. The European Space Agency lent us their Solar Orbiter mock-ups, which complemented our own mock-ups of PROBA2 and PROBA3. Also LYRA detectors were on display. Check the pictures below for some impressions of this very succesful event.
