Guest Investigators for 2020-2021

The Guest Investigator Program is available to promote the use of PROBA2 data. After an nineth call for ideas in 2019, the Guest Investigators for the period Jan 2020 until Dec 2020 were selected by a comittee.

The selected Guest Investigators, and their (provisional) research topic, for the period Feb 2020 to Dec 2020 are the following:

Goryaev, F SWAP Study of post-eruptive coronal structures, their evolution, and relationship with the solar wind using PROBA2/SWAP and AIA/SDO data
Majumdar, S SWAP Understanding velocity dispersion inside Coronal Mass Ejections: A preparatory study for upcoming coronagraphs

Natras, R

& Tebabal, A

LYRA Investigation of Solar Irradiance Influence and the Correlation to the Earth ́s Ionosphere Total Electron Content for the Integration of PROBA2 LYRA data into a Machine-Learning-based Ionosphere Forecast Model & Investigation of ionosphere response to short and mid-term solar irradiance variability
Tavabi, E SWAP
Polar Plumes (PP) at the time of solar minimum
Thiemann, E LYRA Investigating Tides and Planetary Waves in the Thermosphere with High Cadence LYRA Measurements of Thermospheric Density.
Wagner, A SWAP Quality assessment of the EUHFORIA simulated magnetic field and inferred plasma structures in the mid to outer corona using PROBA2/SWAP
